Letters from Lima

A 11-month journey documenting Afro-Peruvian culture and community development.

The Heart of My Journey

As a Young Adult Volunteer (YAV), my purpose is to bridge the gap between global advocacy and local community development. I am here to document the profound impact of Afro-Peruvian culture and the resilience of its people.

My 11-month service is a commitment to learning, growth, and service. Through this experience, I aim to share the authentic stories of Black Peruvian women and the vibrant traditions that define our shared heritage.
