I’m Ganijah—a marketer, storyteller, and Young Adult Volunteer from St. Louis documenting a year of service, learning, and growth in Lima, Peru.

With a background in marketing and a passion for creative storytelling, travel, culture, and advocacy, I believe thoughtful communication can help people feel seen while connecting communities without flattening what makes them unique.

 

Over the next eleven months, I’ll immerse myself in Peruvian culture while serving alongside the Center for the Development of Black Peruvian Women. This journal will be part personal reflection, part cultural exploration, and part record of the meaningful work I’ll be honored to support.

 

Through stories about everyday life in Lima, new adventures, unexpected challenges, and conversations surrounding advocacy, identity, and community, I’ll share the experiences and lessons that shape my journey.
